Why We Do This
We believe we can build the best co-op Backrooms exploration experience out there.
That belief is why we’ve put our hearts into every single part of Infinitum. We’re just two people developing this game, with a handful of talented freelancers helping out when we can. We’re self-funded, and we’ve chosen to give this project everything we have.
But our dream isn’t to build it alone. We want to build it with the people who will play it. That’s why our Wanderers vote on what we develop through monthly polls. Why we share the playtests and progress. And why we answer as many social-media messages and comments as two humans possibly can.
Seriously. We’re replying while cooking, while eating… sometimes even on the toilet. 🚽
Jokes aside, this is the path we chose. We believe in Infinitum. We’ve given it our all, and we still do, every day.
If you believe in it too, come shape what Infinitum becomes. Your one-time support helps us keep developing Infinitum. From the Wanderers Hub, you can follow new Roadmap goals and choose whether you want to contribute further. Depending on the tier, you can get playtest access, updates, a gravestone bearing your name, your own room, or even a physical package when the game releases.
Questions Before You Enter?
Infinitum is a Backrooms survival-horror game with an original sci-fi world and story, made by our three-person indie team. It has two modes: Story Mode and Exploration Mode. By joining the Wanderers, you support development, get the private playtest and full game on release, and vote on upcoming content during your Hub access period.
Story Mode follows Infinitum’s story through survival expeditions into infinitely generated Backrooms levels. The Outpost is your base between expeditions, where the planned systems include storing supplies, crafting, recycling and preparing with your team.
Exploration Mode focuses on immersion, atmosphere and discovering handcrafted environments. You search for tarot cards and uncover each area at your own pace. Its levels are handcrafted, rather than infinitely generated.
The current private ReAlpha includes the Story Mode Prologue, where you encounter The Hound, and available Exploration Mode content including the Poolrooms and Level 150: The Infinite Garden. The game is in development, so the private build does not contain every feature or level planned for the finished game.
Buying a support package gives you access after you claim and activate your Steam playtest key.
The current ReAlpha is single-player, and the free Halloween build will also be single-player. We are reintroducing multiplayer while working on crossplay, starting with Steam and Epic Games. This is development in progress, not a feature you can use in the current ReAlpha.
The Wanderers Hub is our members’ space for development polls, progress and community features. Eligible Wanderers vote on proposed levels, entities, items and other game content before we put our resources into developing the winning options.
The choices on this page are a preview. Selecting one here does not cast an official vote; official votes are submitted in the Hub. Only the winning option in each poll moves forward into development.
Yes. Level 150: The Infinite Garden won a previous development poll and is now playable in Exploration Mode. Open the latest-level card above to see it. Other winning ideas may still be in development; winning a poll does not mean the content is already finished.
No subscription is required or offered for new purchases. Choose a one-time support package and keep its permanent game keys and earned rewards. Wanderers Hub access is being updated to become permanent for qualifying existing and new supporters before we migrate the new system to the main website.
Your payment does not automatically renew.
Yes. Your claimed game keys, full-game entitlement and earned permanent rewards remain yours. The Hub currently follows its previous access-period rules; we will update it to permanent supporter access before this redesigned funnel is introduced on the main website.
After purchase, sign in and visit Loyalty Rewards to claim your Steam playtest key, then activate it in Steam. Your support package also includes the full game when it releases; it is not delivered as a finished game today.
The free Halloween playtest is available from October 26 to November 2. You can wait for that event to try the event build without purchasing a support package.
Buying now gives you private playtest access after key claiming, a full-game copy on release, your purchased period of Hub voting access and the rewards included with your chosen package.
Forever Remembered includes a personalised Level -1 gravestone. The Lost Guider includes both a gravestone and a hidden note for other players to discover. Choose the matching button above to open that support level on the next page and review its complete perks.
The images are reward previews. Hidden notes are planned for the full release.
Your purchase helps fund Infinitum’s indie development, including work on levels, entities, items, animations and gameplay systems. Development polls let Wanderers influence which proposed content we put those resources into next, while the private playtest lets you experience the game as it grows.
